BROWNTAIL MOTH:
REDUCING THE RISK

Saturday, February 19     10:30

Join Tom Schmeelk, Entomologist for the Maine Forest Service, and Alex Drenga, Stewardship Director of Island Heritage Trust for an informational outdoor session on browntail moth (BTM). They will provide guidance and demonstrations on BTM web removal and address any questions you may have on this invasive insect. We'll gather on the Library lawn, so dress warmly!

February 2022 has been recognized as Browntail Moth Awareness Month by the State of Maine to encourage people to take advantage of the dormant season of the insect and join together to reduce impacts from BTM.

If you missed the presentation, you can stop in the Library to pick up handouts, or click the Maine Agriculture Conservation & Forestry logo for links to more information.
